Take care of your hat by keeping it stored in it's hatbox and wrapped in tissue paper. Tissue paper should act like a pillow to support your hat or headpiece. A ball of tissue paper can be used to fill the crown or inside of the hat with some tissue also supporting any trim or veil.
To maintain they're pristine condition Felt hats may need a gentle brush with a babies brush from time to time or a lint roller to remove fluff and Straw hats a light clean with a damp cloth and a little steam from time to time.
